Thank you for your interest in Music Video Jams! This form is specifically for filmmakers. If you are a musician or band, you can find your submissions portal on the main page at www.spokanearts.submittable.com

Music Video Jams is a new Spokane event, pairing emerging filmmakers with emerging musicians to create a brand-new music video that is conceived, shot, produced, and distributed locally. Through their collaboration, each team (both filmmakers and musicians) will have the chance to learn from other artists, showcase their own talent, find a bigger platform to share their work, meet new artists in the community, and much more.

Filmmakers are asked to submit 2 samples of a short project (1-6 minutes long, maximum). Filmmaker teams and musician teams will be paired by the organizers; they will not be self-selected. Teams will be announced on August 1 at the kickoff event, to be held at the CMT studios (104 W. 3rd, Suite B) and broadcast live by KYRS.

Each team of filmmakers will create a music video of the musician/band's work. In addition to producing a music video to be publicly screened on September 9, the filmmaker team will agree to provide film & b-roll footage to the organizers. The winning filmmaker/band team will be eligible for a cash prize.

July 5- July 27: Submissions open for filmmakers. Deadline is Friday, July 27 at 11:30 p.m.

July 30: Announce selected filmmakers

August 1: Kickoff at Community Minded Television (CMT)

Filming: August 11-24

September 9: Screening/Awards at The Bartlett

Preference will be given to emerging filmmakers who would benefit from this experience versus more established filmmakers with significant portfolios. Questions? Contact Juan Mas (dogma8@aol.com) for clarification.
